The clinical specialization prepares students for a career as a clinical exercise physiologist, someone who works in collaboration with medical professionals to guide exercise and rehabilitation programs for at-risk and clients with chronic diseases, including; cardiopulmonary, metabolic, orthopedic or musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and neoplastic immunological and\or hematological diseases. The degree provides the knowledge, clinical experience opportunities and skills needed to prepare for successful completion of the registration examination for the registered clinical exercise physiologist certification through The American College of Sports Medicine.
