The Certificate in Biblical Studies is for those who are interested in furthering their biblical education, but do not want (or need) a degree. Students in this certificate program are often serving in their home churches and want to deepen their understanding of the Bible. This certificate allows students to concentrate fully on biblical studies.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Certificate in Biblical Studies enables students to exegete Scripture contextually and meaningfully as well as identify the core elements of the biblical storyline. Students learn how the individual parts of the Bible contribute to and develop the storyline, and vice versa. This certificate provides a foundation for students who want further biblical education in a shorter program. Students who complete the certificate may continue their studies by applying their units toward the BA in Biblical Studies degree program.

Upon successful completion of this Certificate in Biblical Studies, students will be able to:

  • Identify the core elements of the biblical storyline and explain how the individual parts contribute to and develop the storyline, and vice versa.
