Bio

I grew up in the beautiful state of Indiana and have fond memories of warm summer evenings, fields of lightning bugs, and endless sunsets. I began teaching at Jessup in the fall of 2010 and currently serve as Associate Professor for the School of Theology and Leadership. Over the last eight-plus years I have had the privilege of seeing two different four-year cycles of students. I love seeing how the students grow and mature from their freshman year to their senior one. Being a part of that process of growth is one of the main reasons I became a teacher. I am married to my wonderful wife, Kelli, and together we have two rambunctious boys: Dylan and Beau. My current areas of research interest are systematic theology, spiritual formation, and, shockingly enough, pop culture. For me, it is extremely important to understand the cultural context of your time while teaching and living the Christian life.
