Michael Obermire, MBA

Bio

Michael Obermire, a native Californian, is a 1983 graduate of California State University at Fresno with a B. S. in Industrial Engineering. In 2007, he received his executive MBA at California State University, Sacramento.

From 1983 to 2016, Mr. Obermire held various executive level positions in Industrial Engineering, Operations, and Sales & Marketing at multibillion dollar California based valve and steel manufacturers. When he retired in 2016 from USS- POSCO Industries, Mr. Obermire was the Director of Sales and Marketing, responsible for the sales, marketing, and new market development of all steel sheet products worldwide.

In 2014 Mr. Obermire began his education career at CSU, Sacramento, teaching Marketing in the Executive MBA program. He continued teaching in the CSUS graduate and undergraduate business program and in 2016 joined William Jessup University as an adjunct professor in the School of Business, teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs. He is also the Academic Business Manager at the university, helping manage the business side of Jessup. He is a member of the American Marketing Association and the faculty advisor for the Jessup AMA Marketing club.
