Consulting: Manuel regularly provides consulting services as a CPA in the areas of: strategic tax planning, internal financial controls development, operating and capital budgeting analysis, and business process improvement.

Professional Development: Manuel completes a variety of CPE courses to remain an active CPA each year. These courses focus in areas such as accounting ethics, tax planning, and financial reporting.

Curriculum & Program Development: Manuel has designed 20+ courses in the MAcc, MBA, and undergraduate business programs. He has also championed the development of several degrees/programs in the business school. He is a former chair of WJU’s Academic Council.

Conferences: Manuel participates, presents/serves on expert panels, etc. in professional conferences each year. He serves in a regional leadership role with the American Accounting Association, the largest academic and professional association of accounting faculty in the United States.

Accreditation: Manuel has spearheaded numerous regional and program accreditation efforts (WASC and ACBSP)over the past two decades, and currently leads efforts for assessment and accreditation for the Jessup Business School.
