Jessup Foundation
Over the years, Jessup University has benefited from the guidance and support of its Foundation Board. Now in a significant step forward, the University has appointed alumnus Greg Switzer to serve as executive director. This new role marks an exciting chapter in the University’s commitment to growth, innovation, and the long-term success of its students and programs.
As Switzer takes the helm as the Foundations’ director, he is no stranger to the Jessup mission and campus. “In so many ways, Jessup has been a magnet for my family,” he said. With deep ties to Jessup over the last 12 years, Switzer graduated from the Master’s in Leadership program in 2020. His wife Angela is currently the vice president of enrollment management and both of the couple’s daughters are alumni.
With a background and entrepreneurial experience in technology and medical device industries, Switzer is prepared to lead these efforts in engaging donors, faculty, students and the business community to generate sustainable revenue.
The Jessup Foundation seeks to partner and gain valuable insight from key supporters and friends of Jessup. One of Switzer’s primary focuses is to gather a group of stakeholders who will help to shape this venture for Jessup’s long-term health.
Along with the wisdom of our community, Jessup will seek investment in opportunities that will strengthen and advance our mission through sustainable revenue models that will benefit investors and charitably-minded individuals. Impact investing has become a growing field, with more institutional investors, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals seeking to align their investments with their values while contributing to the greater good.
Out in the marketplace and in various publications, Dr. Jackson has shared the concept that legacy isn’t just about the past. It is happening now, especially at Jessup. Switzer is tasked to bring “legacy now” to life. The Jessup Foundation is not only a tangible example of “legacy now,” it is also designed for “legacy multiplied.”
In alignment with Jessup’s mission to educate transformational leaders for the glory of God, Dr. Jackson has long casted the vision of making an impact in business, technology, healthcare, government, entertainment and arts, and church leadership. The Jessup Foundation will focus its efforts in these core areas.
The Jessup Foundation aims to foster sustainability while enhancing engagement, strengthening philanthropic efforts, and creating increased opportunities for collaboration between the Board, students, faculty, and constituents of the broader University community. By bringing its work to the forefront, the Foundation Board will play a greater role in shaping Jessup’s future and continued success.
