VOA Oregon Staff-Specific Questions
How will the move impact my daily work and responsibilities?
- The move may require some adjustments to your daily routine, including commuting to the new location and becoming familiar with the new space.
- Overall, your core responsibilities will remain the same, but you may have opportunities to collaborate with Multnomah Campus of Jessup University (MCJU) staff and students.
- There may be some short-term transitional tasks related to setting up in the new location, but we will ensure clear communication and support during the process.
How long do we anticipate move will take?
We will utilize a moving company to move office furniture and other belongings from WRC to MCJU on Wednesday, 10/23, Thursday, 10/24 and Friday, 10/25. Client belongings will be moved Monday, 10/28.
Who will be supervising the move?
The Eleva Group is project managing the move. We will move half of the staff Wednesday, 10/24 and half of the staff Thursday, 10/25.
Will treatment be paused during the move?
We should be able to coordinate our move to ensure that clients do not lose any clinical services.
Will intakes be paused during the move?
Yes, we will pause any intakes until after the move.
Will security still be on site at the new facility? If not, why?
Yes, we will continue to have contracted security.
What measures are being taken to ensure client care remains consistent? Specifically, access to methadone and MAT meds?
We will work with Dr. Christensen to ensure that we have all required medical items.
Will facilities-related questions still go through VOA?
Yes, although MCJU will be responsible for the facility maintenance of all common areas, VOA Facilities will be responsible for regular maintenance issues.
Will clients be able to smoke at the new facility?
Yes, there will be a designated smoking area for clients that is within our leased area.
Will there be parking available for staff at the new location?
- Yes, gated limited-access parking will be available for staff at MCJU.
- Specific parking arrangements, including designated areas and permits, will be communicated closer to the move date to ensure smooth access.
What are the dedicated office spaces and group rooms available at the new location?
- There will be dedicated office spaces for staff, with additional group rooms for therapy, counseling, and program-related group meetings.
- These spaces are designed to support both individual and group sessions, and we’ll provide floor plans and room assignments once we finalize the layout.
- The facilities will include comfortable, private areas for staff to conduct meetings and counseling sessions in line with our high standards of care.
Will there be any changes to working hours or schedules due to the move?
- At this time, there are no planned changes to working hours or schedules. We expect staff to continue their regular hours.
- However, as we transition, there may be some temporary adjustments to accommodate the move or any setup needs. We will communicate any changes well in advance.
What amenities and services will we have access to?
- Staff will have access to on-site amenities, including break rooms, kitchen facilities, and Wi-Fi.
- The campus offers green spaces, walking paths, and potential access to MCJU’s fitness facilities, as we navigate the partnership’s first few months.
- Additional services like meeting rooms and technology resources may also be available for program use.
Who would we contact if there are issues or concerns?
- For any concerns related to the move, please reach out to your direct supervisor or the designated move coordinator, who will be identified closer to the transition date.
- There will be a dedicated contact person for logistical issues, as well as regular updates from leadership to address any questions or concerns during the process.
- For facility-related issues at the new location, we will also identify facilities contact whose information will be provided for immediate support.

- We hope to limit disruption and expect to provide the same high level of care and quality to clients during this move.

What transportation options are available for clients to the new location?
- Public transportation options are available on Trimet to access the new location.
- Detailed transportation information around the move will be provided closer to the move date.
Will there be any changes in client care or programs due to the move?
- We anticipate little or no changes to client care or program offerings.
- All current programs will continue uninterrupted at the new location.
- There is potential for service expansion with the added space and resources at MCJU.
How will clients be informed about the move and the new location’s details?
