A Letter from the Director

Greetings Friends!

Toward the end of my undergraduate studies at a Christian University, I had the opportunity to travel with a group of students and staff to another continent for the first time. This trip was transformational, and planted in me a heart for God’s people around the globe. Since then, I have experienced culture, hospitality, and faith communities in over 35 countries, shaping my view of God’s heart for the world. In addition, I have engaged in extensive scholarship regarding culture and reconciliation. As such, I am convinced that cultural intelligence is crucial for effective leadership, and immersive global learning opportunities are perhaps the most transformational experience we can offer students.

Jessup’s Center for Global Engagement stems from a long legacy of women and men whose hearts were to train, champion, and mobilize cross-cultural leaders. From alumni who planted churches, to graduates working in diverse urban contexts, to excellent business leaders, we send graduates out into the world to represent Christ. I invite you to join our efforts as we seek to mobilize students for engagement, and accelerate the message of hope around the world! We cannot accomplish this mission without wonderful partners who are engaged in the work of reconciliation, and people like you who support us. Thanks for joining us in this journey!
