Jessup University is launching Jessup Aviation Academy after receiving a $303,808 award through the Aircraft Pilots Workforce Development Grant Program. This is exciting news for future aviators or those who have dreamed of soaring through California’s open, blue skies!
Partnering with Mach 5 Aviation and the Aerospace Museum of California, students will learn to take off and fly in a state-of-the-art flight simulator, then move on to fly in a real airplane. The program includes a simulator orientation training session in the museum’s Flight Zone along with a campus tour of Jessup University. Once students finish the introduction program, they will receive a certificate of completion redeemable at Mach 5 in Auburn for a free discovery flight (students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent).

Participant Steps & Requirements:
- Be a student between the age of 13-19 (no restriction on school type)*
- Special circumstances apply to school educators. If you are an educator interested in signing up for this Academy, please contact us at campusvisit@jessup.edu.
- Complete flight simulation training at Jessup or the Aerospace Museum of CA
- Please contact campusvisit@jessup.edu for upcoming dates for training sessions!
- Complete an Admissions-led Jessup campus tour and the Jessup FAA Demographic Survey
- Meet with Jessup staff to receive a Certificate of Completion after simulation is complete and tour is verified
*Students who are minors must either tour Jessup’s campus with a parent or submit a permission form. If no parent is present, they must be accompanied by at least two cleared Jessup staff members at all times. Contact campusvisit@jessup.edu for more information.
