Abigail Feely, Ed.D.

Biography:

Dedicated to quality higher educational instruction, Abbey helps Jessup instructors in all disciplines design and teach online courses and works with students to develop their Credit for Prior Learning portfolios. She has been a faculty leader in online course design and teaching for many years, achieving course certification by the Online Education Initiative-California Virtual Campus, and serving as a peer online course reviewer and facilitator for the Online Teaching Institute at American River College. With almost 20 years of college history teaching experience, she has taught a variety of courses at Jessup, including American history, World Civilizations, African American history, and her specialty, women’s history. She is honored to help lead and present at Jessup’s annual women’s history month events and to have served several years on the executive board and Gold Prize committee of the Western Association of Women Historians.

Outside of Jessup, you will find Abbey keeping up with her amazing teenage daughters, serving as a women’s ministry teacher and leader at Arcade Church in Sacramento, finding ways to travel to historical places, getting in her daily miles, and enjoying time with friends and family.
