Jessup University Announces Presidential Search Committee

At Jessup University, Jesus remains at the center of who we are and why we exist. As the university continues pursuing its mission of Christ-centered higher education, the Board of Trustees is taking the next step in stewarding the future leadership of the institution.

As previously shared with the Jessup community, the Board committed to launching a national search in 2026 for the university’s next president. Jessup is now moving forward with that commitment through the formation of a Presidential Search Committee and the beginning of the search process.

The search is being led by a committee chaired by Jessup Trustee Rachael Gelsinger and will be conducted in partnership with FaithSearch Partners, an executive search firm with extensive experience in higher education leadership searches.

The committee was intentionally assembled to bring together a range of perspectives from across the Jessup community, including board leadership, faculty, student life, and the local church.

Beginning March 16, FaithSearch Partners will conduct stakeholder conversations across the Jessup community to gather perspectives that will help shape the presidential profile and guide the search process. These interviews reflect the committee’s commitment to hearing a broad range of voices as the search moves forward.

The university will provide periodic updates throughout the process so the Jessup community can remain informed as the search progresses.

Most importantly, the university invites the entire Jessup community to join in prayer during this important season. Please pray for wisdom, discernment, and unity for the search committee, and for God’s guidance as Jessup seeks the next leader who will faithfully carry the university’s mission forward.
