2024 President’s Report
A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Some people want faith to stay in church on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Others have even advocated for the “naked public square.” I actually think Jesus, the Bible, our faith and our historical freedoms call for the opposite mindset. Since becoming president of Jessup in 2011, I have advocated for the Jessup community to be a bold and courageous witness for Jesus, being full of grace and truth for the honor of His name.
Christ-centered higher education is the calling of Jessup University. In partnership with the Church, the purpose of Jessup University is to educate transformational leaders for the glory of God.
In the pages of this President’s Report, you will read about transformational leaders in arts, health sciences and ministry. Additional dynamic stories are being written every day at Jessup in each field of study.
As you read these stories and ponder the photos and graphs, know that our campuses in Rocklin, San Jose and Portland are tapestries that are springing forth with new life. Stories of our deeply dedicated faculty, staff and students are rippling from our local communities, region and beyond. Moreover, Jessup has launched Jessup Global, an enterprise already reaching international, online, dual credit/dual enrollment and certificate students. Furthermore, we have launched the Jessup Venture Fund, a fund that is giving birth and life to Christ-centered entrepreneurial vision across our communities.
Thank you for sowing seeds of LEGACY NOW. Each day we live in Christ is a stewardship. Your faithful sowing of prayer, financial support and encouragement is bearing fruit for this legacy. Faith in the public square is how we let our light shine, be salt and light and live out our daily ambassadorship (see Matthew 5:13-16, and 2 Corinthians 5:17-21). Thank you for joining Jessup in the every day of making faith in the public square part of “normal Christianity.”

John Jackson, Ph.D.
