Under the directives of the Campus Safety Department, provides for the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff and property through conspicuous observation and patrol, responds to calls for routine assistance as well as emergency and crisis situations, and provides other safety-related services such as event security and parking enforcement.

This position will assist the Director and the Instructional Design team in the implementation  and review of instructional materials for online courses using the Moodle Learning Management System.

The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) is a member of the Development team and is responsible for securing financial resources for William Jessup University. The primary focus is meeting and working with donors and prospects with significant giving capacity to accomplish their giving objectives in the form of annual giving, major and planned gifts. The Major Gift Officer will engage in and be responsible for all aspects of the donor development cycle including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgment, church partnership and stewardship. This income-generating position reports directly to the Senior Director of Development, under the strategic vision of the Chief Development Officer, in collaboration with the Athletic Director, Director of Church Relations and University President. Position requires extensive travel and includes evening and weekend responsibilities to be successful.

The Major Gift Officer – Women’s Philanthropy holds primary responsibility for the cultivation and stewardship of women seeking to be engaged meaningfully and generously to Jessup at all levels. The MGO – Women’s Philanthropy supports the Refined Women’s Collective; acquires, cultivates and stewards its members and provides giving opportunities to The Jessup Fund, capital campaigns and major giving. This position provides influential leadership for Jessup’s constituency of women and provides leadership oversight of development events at Jessup.

Under the supervision of the Director of Online Instruction, this position collaborates with faculty and other departments on campus to design, develop and implement online courses using the Moodle Learning Management System.

Provide primary institutional support for the annual budget and forecasting process and provide continuous monitoring of departmental budget variances throughout the year.  Support the creation of the five year forecasting models, including creating and maintaining profitability models in the budget software.  Primary administrator of Adaptive Insights budget and forecasting software.

The Associate Registrar is responsible for assisting in the leadership and administration of all facets of the Office of the University Registrar. The Associate Registrar will supervise staff and directly oversee daily operations of multiple core functions within the Office of the University Registrar; course scheduling, degree progress, undergraduate and graduate records. Provide leadership to plan, organize and manage the daily operations of the University Registrar’s Office, including degree audit implementation and maintenance, academic policy and serving as the official authorized keeper of the university’s student recor ds. Identify, clarify, and resolve highly visible or complex issues with substantial significance and impact that may span multiple areas, using expert technical and professional knowledge requiring independent judgment

The University Registrar provides leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Office of the Registrar. The University Registrar plays a critical role in the University and Academic operations by effectively managing the maintenance and integrity of all student academic records, the approved curriculum, the creation and maintenance of course schedules, all areas of student registration and the recording and reporting of grades, compliance with FERPA regulations, and the establishment and maintenance of processes for the equitable and consistent administration of policies and procedures as they relate to registration and academic record keeping. The University Registrar must provide strong leadership consistent with the academic goals and mission of the institution.

Athletics Positions

The purpose of the Assistant Coach – Cross Country position is to develop Christ-centered excellence, to mentor and challenge student-athletes to grow spiritually (discipleship), academically, athletically, to provide opportunities for Christian service through the medium of athletic competition and to be consistently competitive at the championship level. This position provides support for specific internal operations for the athletic department and must abide by rules and regulations established by William Jessup University, the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and the GSAC, (Golden State Athletic Conference).

Class Format:

Each class runs for 7 weeks. BUT the cohort of students meet for 2 weekends within this 7 week.

The Computer Science Department invites applications from well-qualified candidates in the Computer Sciences (CS) for a fulltime CS faculty position in the department. Strongest consideration will be given to candidates with experience in teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate CS courses, and online CS courses. The successful candidate would participate in course, curriculum, and undergraduate and master’s program development, advising as well as departmental, university, and professional/community service activities. The candidate selected will help launch new concentrations in the area of security, software engineering, and artificial intelligence and will work collaboratively with faculty in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences and the Computer Sciences Department.

The Computer Science Department invites applications from well-qualified candidates in computer science for a fulltime MSCS faculty position in the department. The new faculty candidate will have the opportunity to shape new courses and overall direction of the curriculum by delivering courses from a wide range of graduate computer science based on experience and interest. The development of new courses in the candidate’s area of expertise is encouraged. Applicants with a background and/or interest in data science, artificial intelligence, distributed and cloud computing, physical computing and embedded systems are highly desirable. We are using Python as the main language for most of the computer science classes. We wish to build an infrastructure to support as many current technologies such as Jupyter Notebook for teaching and research. We are primarily committed to providing the students with sufficient insights and knowledge in the topics. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in computer science including new course developments in the faculty member’s area of expertise. This is a lead faculty position in this San Jose area, and includes administration and recruiting of adjuncts with relevant expertise in their areas of interest.
