The Admissions Counselor functions as a sales professional within Jessup University with the specific purpose of achieving enrollment growth by recruiting well-matched and diverse prospective students. Recruitment of prospective students includes the ability to promote the unique benefits of a Jessup education to prospective students, their parents and other stakeholders including but not limited to high school counselors, community college counselors, church staff and the community at large. Specifically, the admissions counselor must have the ability to pursue the prospect as a trusted advisor who serves the student through the entire enrollment process – from a prospect to a registered student. Extensive knowledge and background in sales performance is strongly preferred along with general knowledge and work experience in higher education.

The credential analyst provides consistency and clarity of department information to internal and external stakeholders related to both degrees and credentials offered from the School of Education. This individual provides compliance support and reporting to accreditation agencies and serves as a liaison to maintain good standing with policies and procedures necessary for accreditation. This position is responsible for the documentation, review, analysis, and evaluation of the communication, data, admissions, recruitment, advising, budgeting, and transcript process for School of Education students.

William Jessup University seeks a highly motivated individual for the position of Enrollment Recruiter.  The Enrollment Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment of undergraduate adult and graduate online students through inquiry and application generation – mainly sourced from education fairs, events, community college outreach, community organization outreach and networking opportunities.  This position will also support recruitment for all on-campus programs and will be based out of the Rocklin campus. We seek applicants with a strong background in sales performance and recruiting in higher education is desirable.  We prefer applicants that are self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, ability to network with others and possesses outstanding communication skills.

To provide administrative support and assistance to IT Services; implement administrative systems, procedures, and policies as well as monitor projects.

Under the supervision of the Dean of Online Instruction, this position collaborates with faculty and other departments on campus to design, develop and implement online courses using the Moodle Learning Management System.

Performs various functions with student accounts and provides high-level customer service to students of graduate and online programs at William Jessup University. The position is demanding and requires a high degree of patience, initiative and self-management to respond to the range of functions and tasks required while maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.

This position will initially be part time, approximately 20-24 hours per week and has the potential to be full time in the future.

The Student Success Coach for online students coaches, guides and assists new and current students in online programs to recognize their God-given uniqueness, maximize their academic and experiential learning, make informed academic decisions based on life and career goals and successfully complete of their online degree programs at WJU. The Success Coach assists students in online programs in their growth and development by constructing meaningful educational plans which are compatible with their life goals.   The Success Coach fosters student understanding of university policies and provides support services to a diverse online student population. Primary areas of focus include academic coaching, planning and spiritual formation ensuring academic success, retention and persistence towards completion of degree program. Secondary areas include financial aid guidance, informal transcript evaluation, career coaching and other general support services.

NOTE:  This is an on-campus position serving online students

The University Advancement Officer is a member of the Advancement team and is responsible for securing financial resources for William Jessup University. The primary focus is meeting and working with donors and prospects with significant giving capacity to accomplish their giving objectives in the form of annual giving, major and planned gifts. The University Advancement Officer will engage in and be responsible for all aspects of the donor development cycle including donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, acknowledgment, church partnership and stewardship. Position requires ability to travel and includes evening and weekend responsibilities to be successful.

To oversee the daily operation of the Administrative office and to ensure that all phone calls and visitors are greeted in an expeditious, professional and friendly manner.

Athletics Positions

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will support the Head Athletic Trainer and serve the William Jessup University student-athletes and the athletic department. The assistant AT will aid in overseeing the day-to-day operations of WJU’s athletic training program and assisting in the prevention, assessment,
treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. This is a part-time 10 month staff position in the Athletic Department of William Jessup University.

 

Faculty Positions

The candidate selected will help launch new concentrations in the area of security, software engineering, and artificial intelligence and will work collaboratively with faculty in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences and the Computer Sciences Department.

The Computer Science Department invites applications from well-qualified candidates in computer science for a fulltime MSCS faculty position in the department. The new faculty candidate will have the opportunity to shape new courses and overall direction of the curriculum by delivering courses from a wide range of graduate computer science based on experience and interest. The development of new courses in the candidate’s area of expertise is encouraged.
