It seems like uncertainty is everywhere. The world is scrambling to make sense of an unprecedented situation and to find concrete answers to what happens next. Uncertainty makes it easy for fear and anxiety to rule our minds. Let us take heart in something that is certain. God is with us, and He is good.
We serve a God who doesn’t leave us when we doubt or even when we question His goodness. In Isaiah 41:10 we read, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” With God as our helper and rescuer, we are free to live without fear.
Jessup staff, faculty, and students are pressing forward in God’s mighty strength. Our mission remains unchanged. Jessup partners with the Church to educate transformational leaders for the glory of God. We find Jessup students to be uniquely equipped for leadership, especially during uncertain times, because a Christ-centered worldview is integrated into every aspect of a Jessup education.
As we forge ahead, we have much to be thankful for. First, our staff and faculty have successfully transitioned to remote learning in an exceptionally short timeframe. We have embraced a new mode of learning and will continue to look for ways to creatively connect students, faculty, and staff. We’re also celebrating our enduring relationship with the Church. Together, we are planning ways to compassionately respond to the needs of our community; Jessup is playing a leading role with churches in our region and with other ministry partners.
While the world around us might feel hopeless and the mountain in front of us may seem insurmountable, our God moves mountains and gives us a spirit of hope. Thank you Jessup community for your relentless support of our mission and for helping us raise up transformational leaders for the glory of God.
