Jessup’s project management certification program delivers practical training and specialized preparation for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Project Management Professional (PMP®) exams. Students in Jessup’s project management certification program learn project management, project quality, risk, cost/budgeting, and innovation skills. They build an ePortfolio of 20 industry specific project management templates that can be shared with prospective employers. Once they receive the certification, they’re fully trained and prepared for careers in the medical, government, and business fields.

Project management is a versatile, high paying, and growing career option that’s adaptable across industries. Project managers launch new products, develop new applications and technology, and implement new standards and practices that improve productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
Jessup’s project management certification program consists of four online courses: Project Management Tools and Techniques, Project Quality Management, Project Cost and Budgeting, and Project Risk Management. These college credit courses align with the core processes found in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI), “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” (PMBOK Guide). This alignment provides students with specific and practical training for the PMI’s certification exams, including the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP®). According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), the project management professional (PMP®) certification is “the gold standard of project management certification” and “validates your competence to perform in the role of a project manager, leading and directing projects and teams.”
Upon completion of the Project Management certification, students will be able to:
- Define project management knowledge, processes, lifecycle, and the tools and techniques needed to achieve project success.
- Summarize the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) standards utilized in project management.
- Identify problems facing a project manager and describe a biblical approach to handling such matters.
- Compare and contrast qualitative and quantitative methods for project cost, risk, and quality evaluation.
- Analyze the best course of action based on trade-offs among alternatives using problem-solving and decision-making tools.
- Examine project management technology tools that facilitate communication, collaboration, information management, and decision support.
- Illustrate project management tools to meet the needs of stakeholders in order to launch new programs, initiatives, products, services, and events.
