I have been blessed over the last nearly 20 years to educate, lead, mentor, and serve with others in various business and educational ministry settings, and now as an Adjunct Professor in Christian Higher Education—a vocation which I love. I strive to exhort and equip others to continually learn and grow as followers of Jesus Christ rooted in His Word, and to challenge and encourage God’s people to love and serve Him and others fruitfully in His name. My current research interests in my Ph.D. program emphasize adult learning and, in particular, the formative educational impact of traumatic struggles in the lives of Christian ministry leaders.
I grew up agnostic in California’s Silicon Valley, later coming to faith in Christ during my senior year in college. I am blessed to be married to my beautiful wife of 17 years, as together we raise our three children, ages 14 to 9, in the greater Sacramento region. I enjoy camping and the outdoors, reading and writing, shooting and collecting firearms, putzing around in my yard, and spending time with my family and friends.
