I was raised by an engineer and an educator and, in an odd turn of events, have evolved into both throughout the course of my career. Although I have spent the majority of my 40-year career in civil and traffic engineering (including 20 years of owning my own company), I have always have had a passion for education. As a result, I was always teaching whether it was in a formal school setting, at church, or in the non-profit world. While at Fuller Theological Seminary, the Lord showed me that academia (and ultimately William Jessup University) was His desired path for my life. I’ve loved being at Jessup (this is my third year), particularly being able to minister to the many students that I have encountered.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading (particularly Presidential and First Lady biographies and autobiographies), travel, and hanging out with my husband and our brood of very spoiled cats. As we live on two acres just outside of Auburn (on the property on which my husband was raised), we also have many raccoons, possums, skunks, wild birds, turkeys, and deer that call our property home and stop by for their daily meal(s). I am a huge sports fan and particularly love the San Francisco Giants and USC football (a passion that began when my son attended ‘SC to obtain his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees).
